At current I have two motor cars. I have only ever owned three cars myself in my motoring career, which started in 2009. My first car was a 1990 SEAT Marbella 850cc. Originally a licenced copy of the Fiat Panda, when SEAT was purchased by Volkswagen and no longer owned by Fiat a design change was initiated and the SEAT Marbella was it’s own car. The cheapest car you could get in the market new from £3,000. It was discontinued in 1996 in this country.
In 2010 I purchased a 1991 Peugeot 205, 1.1 litre (five speed-oooh). I still own this car and regularly drive it. It was purchased at 110k miles and to this date (23/07/16) only has 132k. 8k of that being mileage abroad. I have been happily driving it determined for it to be a machine i’ll have forever. It is interesting that it is the same age as me; perhaps we will ‘grow old’ together. Haha. |

In early 2016 I took a ride to London with my brother to visit someone and I was hesitant to even go at first. It just so happened I was browsing through e-Bay the night before and I took the opportunity to visit a car that I had seen listed. The friend did not show up so I decided to definitely look at the vehicle, seeing as otherwise it would be a TOTAL waste of a journey to travel 170 miles one way just to go for a pub lunch. The car in question was a 1980 Buick LeSabre Limited. |
